Veling to build and operate new FBO in St. Kitts and Nevis
Date: November 29th, 2010
Veling has signed an agreement for the construction and management of a new private air terminal to be located at St. Kitts’s Robert L. Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport. This opportunity will allow Veling to share its vast experience in the aviation sector with the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), the government body which overseas the airport. The new terminal will allow SCASPA to further enhance the services offered at the RLB International Airport.
At an estimated cost of 20 million USD, the state of the art private air terminal will be an environmentally friendly building designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Bobby Mukherji & Associates of India. The new terminal will house offices, a business centre and a world class private lounge. This initiative will allow St Kitts to offer top-notch FBO services to business jet passengers. An initiative which meets one of the Government’s tourism development plans, to make sure that business jet travellers have access to all the best facilities.
Veling has demonstrated its expertise in such high end projects, one of which is the General Aviation (Mauritius) Terminal at SSR International Airport in Mauritius. GAM is also home to the exclusive YU Lounge, a first in air travel. Veling looks forward to bringing this know how to St. Kitts and to helping the country realize its tourism plans.
